Add another, my daughter just took her CHL class last weekend and is anxiously awaiting the "plastic".

Somehow... I know this is gonna be like when we go on a trip: "Are we there yet"? "How much longer"? "I need to use the bathroom"!

Yep. And don't forget "Dad will you take me to the range".

Fortunately...that one doesn't apply (we live in the country).

She can walk a couple hundred yards from my house and be on "the range".

In fact, she harvested her best deer ever.....shot from her bedroom window early one morning. My wife continues to remind us of what it was like to be awakened that morning by rifle fire.

This was at least 8 years ago....but we still get warned every year (imagine that).

Yes.......and may God help y'all. (Naw, she's a good kid).

One more year here....and then on to Houston for her residency and more schooling.

as mentioned in another posting, my 'hybrid' renewel so far has taken 28 days.. had my CHL but let it lapse for a couple years.. stoopid me to think that since they already had fingerprints, it would just take a refresh on the background check and we'd be off to the races.. not yet..

but interesting to note they did pick up on my prior CHL license number, and they have referrenced that on the website and written communications.
