I'm sorry for your loss. He looks like he was a rascal. They're the best kind.

Several folks have lost furred friends on this forum recently.
I want to assure you that all of us understand your pain and hope your grief passes into happy memories very soon. In my experience, the sooner I commit to another rescue the sooner I move forward. For each of us, it's a personal decision. You will know when it's time.

BTW, I know every dog is unique. I know you can never replace your partner, only move on.
Carry on!

The hardest thing any person can do is putting their beloved dog down. I've had to do it too many times now, and each one leaves me with a broken heart. I miss them all.

Condolences to you.

From your photos, it looks like he lived a full and fulfilled life.
And from your writing, it's clear he was loved.

What more could any of us ask for.?

Sorry about the loss of your family member. Martha and I have had to do that far too often in 40+ years and I know how it feels to take a dog on their final trip to the vet. She and I used to laugh at old people who made their dogs their "kids" when the real kids grew up and moved away. We no longer laugh at them -- we are them!
