While I have been waiting on my plastic, I have been wearing my holster around the house/property to get used to it. I've found 2 issues that I hope can be solved. I have a CompTac MTAC and a BladeTech gunbelt to carry my Kimber Pro Carry II.
First issue I noticed is sweat. I spend a lot of time in hot environments, meaning I sweat a lot. It didn't take very long until I noticed that sweat soaked through the holster and onto my gun. I do have a Crossbreed SuperTuck horsehide on order to help keep sweat off my gun, but who knows how many months I'll be waiting on that. I tried an undershirt which only slowed the problem a little, and got one of those UnderArmour HeatGear undershirts with the same result. Is there anything else I can do to help keep sweat off my gun while I wait for my better holster?
My next issue is probably only from the cheap BladeTech belt, but after a while my hip will start to get sore on the left side towards the front. My guess is it's just from the weight of the gun putting pressure on that one spot. The only fix seems to be only short-term by putting something soft like an extra sock underneath the belt in that one spot. It helps, but not for very long. I do have a Crossbreed gunbelt along with a dual mag holder to hopefully help balance the extra weight on order.
Does anyone have any better suggestions to help fix these problems? My plastic should be in the mailbox this week, it would be great to be able to carry without being in pain and rusting my gun.

Is the gun belt a bit on the small size. I had hip pain with old gun belt as soon as I got a larger size pain was gone.

Too small of a belt is a good question
You could also have the right size belt but just cinching it too tight
If you have to cinch it tight to keep it in place you need a stiffer gun belt- at least that what I found out when I carry.
For the sweat. Wipe the gun down every night, it will be ok

Re: Issues with Holster (Sweat & Sore Hip)
When I first started, I cinched my belt way too tight! I thought it was necessary, but after it being real uncomfortable, I played with it and found I could safely wear everything on a much "looser" cinch.
Even after going through this with my first set up, I recently acquired a Tactipac Fusion holster that comes with a stand-alone elastic-type belt. I cinched that sucker as tight as I could thinking that's what was necessary for the holster to stay put. After becoming extremely uncomfortable....again, I backed it off to a comfortable level, and the holster and belt supported my pistol just as well as it had when I was trying to turn my toes purple!

I had the same problem, I got a new 1.75" belt and it solved the problem for me. I carry OWB and wear 2 belts. Gun belt is not through belt loops I wear it over my regular belt.

Re: Issues with Holster (Sweat & Sore Hip)
This is Texas where 9mos out of the year, you are going to sweat like you've been soaked with a water hose after standing outside for 5mins. If your pistol is only slightly damp, wipe down your pistol every evening. If your pistol is consistently soaked, rub a very tiny amount of oil on the outside & wipe it down. But make sure that only a bare minimum hint of oil remains.
As for the pain issue, it could be that your belt is too tight. It could also be that you need to move the pistol slightly forward or back. I have a sweet spot about 2/3 of the way between my hip & my butt cheek. If I carry slightly forward of that spot, I can get a nerve pain by the end of the day. Slightly behind that spot & I can get some muscle pain.
It takes time to get all of the pieces working together.

Is your gun blued? If it is, try putting some paste wax or, some neutral shoe polish on it let the wax harden and buff. We used this trick on our M 16 rifles in Vietnam it works a lot better than oil. If your gun is stainless rust is less of an issue.
Of course you could buy a Glock I have never seen rust on a Glock.

Re: Issues with Holster (Sweat & Sore Hip)
A change in position or cant can usually solve comfort issues. I can move my holster as little as 1/4" either direction and it makes a huge difference in comfort. Same thing with cant- a few degrees either way can be a tremendous help or hindrance. Also, the belt should support the gun WITHOUT being cinched up super tight. That's what a good belt does. A little break in usually required for optimum comfort.
As for sweat- that's an issue for many people. If you can't find an undershirt/holster that does the trick, get in the habit of cleaning often. If it's a gun you plan to keep long term- send it to Robar or similar and get it treated inside and out. It will not only protect it, but increase life, reduce wear and make cleaning much easier.
