I am at 55 days of waiting with no update, I called DPS today and they said they never received my CHL100 (Even though I called before and they said they had it). They let me email it directly to a data entry person so they can enter it into the system. Hopefully i'll have my card in two weeks or so.

Wow hope they get it fixed. Keep us posted. Wife is at day 20 with just the first update.

Your wife is at day 20 and she's already had an update? I'm at 6 weeks without anything. I did call a week or two ago, they were very friendly and they said they probably have my docs, since the USPS show it was delivered. But I'm getting the impression "efficiency" and "best practices" aren't issues for them. I asked the nice lady what the average turnaround was on applications and you would have thought I asked her about orbital escape velocities. She was absolutely clueless. I explained and it just seemed to confuse her even more. Perhaps performance metrics aren't used in the government sector like they are in the private.

yes it was around three weeks to get her first update that say's background check is under review and it is stuck there. Funny thing her best friend took the class with her sent her papers a week later has had her licensefor over a week. Nothing really to do but wait.

Hope you see a update soon Dadof8

I applied on Sep 10, 2013. The law changed re old guys like me so I called Sep 20 and was told I was up to speed, nothing else required. Just sit back and wait for 45 days. Nothing as of today(nov 15). Called again was told that they had failed to start processing my renewal when I called in Sep and would start now. No idea when it might be completed. My CHL expires in ten days. Does anyone know of someone I can contact to get this expedited?

9/22 took the class
9/23 submitted application
9/26 fingerprints
9/27 submitted packet
9/30 re-submitted packet (because I messed up the attachments on the 1st try, like an idiot)
11/9 finally a status update, to "manufacturing pending" (40 days from re-submission)
11/10 status changed to "manufacturing"

Hopefully it ships this week! :txflag:
Update...11/13, mailed! :clapping:
11/16, received CHL in the mail! 47 days after online submission. :txflag:
