New app process taking 35 - 45 days

Post by bnash972 »

New app timeline: Sept/Oct

09/13/13 - Online application submitted and state fee paid
09/xx/13 - Class taken, finger prints
09/25/13 - Paperwork mailed via standard 1st class mail
Waited with NO online updates. The only status was the "waiting for paperwork" message
10/25/13 - Status is now waiting for manufacture ALL steps on the website updated at once.

Now waiting more. Looks like the process for new apps is about 35 - 45 days

I had a student that said he finally got a recording and it was blaming the Fed shutdown and it would be at least 45 days.

I mailed my paperwork in regular mail 9/27 and still have no update online that they have received it, I was going to re submit via email and see what happens. I may just wait another week, but it's killing me checking everyday and seeing nothing.

Use electronic submission of your documents. It's faster and cuts days off getting your license (I refuse to call it "plastic")

Congrats! I'm in DFW too. I just mailed mine the 17th... I've been checking that darn thing at least 5 times a day! I guess since you waited 30, I'll back off a little. Let me know how your first carry goes! :)

I mailed all my documentation exactly 2 weeks after you mailed yours, so I guess I won't even start looking for mine until November 14.

Not necessarily. Submitted my docs on 9/25, still waiting for ANY updates 41 days later.

I finally got a status updAte today !!! I mailed my stuff in 9/27 in a Friday from dfw. Finally 11/5 I get an update, everything is showing to be completed, and it's says manufacturing pending. I was checking everyday this past month for something. Be patient out there, I think someone earlier posted the same type deal. You'll probably not see an update of receiving paperwork, and when you do everything will probably be done

43 days from time of submission (online only) to getting my first update.

Of course, my first update put me in "manufacturing pending" status.
