Just received email back from their headquarters in Maryland.
They simply referred me to their North Texas headquarters in Sherman.
Not a single word about their policy one way or the other.

I just went to the Goodwill International Website. Jim Gibbons is the CEO since 2008. Interestingly, he is blind and ran an organization for the blind before coming to Goodwill. This paragraph may or may not have any bearing on the new anti-CHL policy in East Texas.
Presidential Duties:
On December 14, 2010, U.S. President Barack Obama named Gibbons to the newly established White House Council for Community Solutions, which is committed to social innovation and civic engagement throughout the nation. As leader of an international movement, Gibbons — one of 25 nonprofit, corporation and foundation leaders on the council — has brought his global perspective to this respected panel.
Back in 2009, an Ohio concealed carry board had a thread about the Goodwill there posting no guns signs. I'm guessing this is not an new issue for the Goodwill organization as a whole but it looks like there is some local control that actually makes local decisions like this.

My Letter

Your recently posted signage that prohibits Texas CHL holders from entering your store with a concealed handgun is poor policy and makes your stores a soft target for criminals. Texas CHL holders are responsible for only 0.02% of all crime in the state. Your sign is going to have a negative impact on donations to your organization! LEGAL gun owners vote and they support businesses and charities that uphold the 2nd Amendment to the US Constitution. I have been a steady donor to GoodWill for the past 13 years. My donations will now be going to other organizations unless you reconsider this new signage. I will not be a victim to a criminal with a gun and your sign is meaningless to criminals. My family and I have spent our last dollar in your store.

I bought western shirts for concealed carry, my favorite place to get them was Goodwill. I'm going elsewhere now :reddevil

So I am on my phone right now an it won't let me copy the link that I want to post but google "is goodwill a charitable organization". Find the article by the huffington post dated sept 2012. It gives
A LOT of reasons that make me not donate to goodwill. It's a scam where the CEO is a multimillionaire, workers earn less than minimum and much more. This just gives
Me one MORE reason not to go there.

Of course someone is always rich in a charity organisation. United way is the same. Goodwill gets free merchandise to sell, that makes alot for room for profit.

Went by Goodwill in Abiline off Ridgemont Drive - no signs, 30.06 or other.
