Houston Gun Collectors Show - Reliant Center - Today
Anyone going to the HGCA gun show at Relaint Center today? Marc and I are going to be there around 11:00 today. I'll be wearing my NRA Houston T-Shirt and my NRA Houston red, white & blue ball cap.

We got there at about 9:30am...The place was already packed...
We left probably as you two were walking in...
Wish we had known...Wife made her first official puchase on her own today...No interference or help from me...
This was "her" day...I'm very proud of her...
You guys could have bought her one of those $3.50 cold drinks they sold there (that the promoters must be really proud of) to celebrate...Y'all should have gotten up earlier!!!

It looked to be a combo deal...Lots of collectors, nick-nack dealers, and "curios"...oilman wrote:May seem like a stupid question but I will ask it anyway. Do gun manufacturers and/or dealers have displays here or is it just gun collectors showing their collections? I want to go compare a number of 1911s (kimber, Para, SA) is this a good place to do it?
Thanks
The shopping for the "New in Box" stuff looked to be ok, but they were spread out all over the convention floor layout...
Parking was $8, and admission $7 per person...
Clear and safe your weapons, the place is properly posted with the dreaded 30.06 signage...
I just left mine in the truck...
I did see a lot of 1911 models, from various makes and models for the .45 crowd...
Lots of opportunity to play the dealers off each other to wittle $20-$50 bucks off the prices...
Especially today, as they are going to be packing up when they close and may want to make a sale or two before then...
Check out the Allcorn Creek Sporting club booth...They had a good "full" table of all sorts of makes and models (new)...They are from Bryan, Texas and are the ones that my wife purchased from...
I saw a nice Kimber, looked to be a compact .45 model...
Other than that they had the usual HK's, Taurus's and a plethra of Glocks...
All priced to move...

Isn't Reliant Park (and thus, Reliant Center) owned by Harris County? From Texas Penal Code §30.06(e):stevie_d_64 wrote: Clear and safe your weapons, the place is properly posted with the dreaded 30.06 signage...
