Does the Starbucks CEO Open Letter (in TX) Prohibit Carry?

The CEO of Starbucks has issued an open letter asking (open carry) firearms carriers to not carry in Starbucks, but not exactly prohibiting it. I don't frequent Starbucks, so it does not impact me, but it would seem to make legitimate concealed carry 'iffy' there until a legal precedent is set. I understand he did not use '30.06' language, but the intent to prohibit carry is clear nevertheless. What to make of this?

There is another thread on this. The CEO clearly stated that he was NOT prohibiting open-carry. He was merely discouraging it. In no way does his statement equate to a legal-notice to not carry in the stores.

But to answer your question, written notice has to be in the form of 30.06 language.

IMHO, he basically asked the pro-OC folks to stop using his establishments as a rally point. He has coffee to sell, not politics to engage in.
