This Saturday, July 27 at noon at the 5 Guys at Alamo Quarry.

As I mentioned in the other thread, I plan on wearing a white golf shirt with a Longhorn, and khaki slacks.

In all likelihood, I'll be the only old, fat man with a white mustache in the place.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

OK.

All right, you other folks, when you get to 5 Guys, look for two old fat men with white hair, one with a goatee and yellow teeth and one who looks like Wilford Brimley has been in a famine.

I'm the short, fat, bald guy.

A trend...I'm sensing a trend. Maybe I should put a carnation in my lapel.

Well JALLEN it's about my luck that you finally make it to Texas and about that time we move off to Missouri. Ever since first meeting you on Sig Forum I've wanted to shake your hand. Maybe we can make arrangements next time my wife and I are in San Antonio. Either way congrats on getting settled in and glad to have you back home.

That's awfully nice to say! Of course we can make arrangements. I've enjoyed meeting a good many of the Sig Forum guys; most of them aren't nearly as funny looking as you might imagine, either.

Good luck in the new locale, and keep in touch especially when you will be in the area. Will you be anywhere near the Truman Library? I intend to pay a call there first chance I get.

Don't get on here all that often, but this sounds interesting. I have an appt at 2, but may be able to swing by for a quick lunch and greet possibly. And someone needs to bring some maroon to this gathering to offset JALLEN's burnt orange. :-) I'll try to wear maroon and look for Wilford Brimley on a diet and so on... No guarantees though.

Well, cool. Most of the time all these years, my Aggie friends would be saying "Wait 'til next year!"

Good for you, see you then. I hope to be sipping a large tea. ;-)

I wish I could get in on this but I have to work at 10am on Saturday and won't be done anywhere near in time to drive down to SA.

This forum noob hopes you guys have a great get together. :thumbs2:

Actually, hmm. I have a cellular wifi hotspot, I could maybe drive down beforehand, get my work done at 10am and then already be there (I should be done by 11 or so).

Is there a coffee shop or something close buy that wouldn't be bothered by a guy doing some work on a laptop? (given that I'd buy something and not just be a leech)

There is a Starbucks in the complex as well as a Barnes and Noble bookstore.

Ok then - in that case, I will try to make it down, if that's alright with you guys. :)
(Can't guarantee I will - but I'm certainly going to try)
