A few days ago in Oakland, CA. U.S.A. my parents was driving and slow down when heading to a speed bump and all of a sudden they got stop by some little kids asking my mom for some food.and saying that they are hungry.. My mom was in the drivers seat and her purse was in the back seat. The kids and their mother came and start surrounding all 4 doors and tried to open the doors to steal my mom's purse. Luckily my dad was there and grabbed my mom's purse and scared the kid that tried to reach for her purse. My dad got out of the car and started chasing them while waving his cane. My mom yell at him to stop since he was in his 60's and was a stroke and cancer survivor so he could easy get hurt if he fell or worst cause another stroke.
I'm glad no one got hurt and my mom's purse wasn't taken but what I'm shock about is that little children was involved. My parent told me that the mother of the children was a chubby black lady and the kids was between 7-11 years old. It's one thing to do the crime yourself but it's just the lowest to get children involved. What if they robbed the wrong person and the kids could had been hurt or worst killed. Other victim could had step on the gas pedal and run over the little kids.
While it would be tragic and haunting to all involved, am I correct in assuming it would have been a "good shoot" had any of the perps breached the vehicle?
I'm also assuming that Texas law would classify it as a robbery or home invasion since the victims were present.
The dad getting out of the car was unwise to say the least, and could have lead to a Zimmerman-type incident?
Would the use of children make any of you hesitate to shoot or run over one of the threats?
