here is my timeline:

Applied Online: 1/19/07
CHL Class: 1/27/07
Received Packet/pin: 2/10/07
Mailed Packet: 2/10/07
Received by DPS: 2/15/07
Status Changed to "Processing Application " 3/8/07
Status Changed to "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" 3/23/07
License Received: 3/26/07

If you count only DPS processing time it took 36 days.
If you count from when I applied to when my license was issued it was 63 days.

- CHL Class: 2/17/07

- Mailed Packet: 2/19/07

- *Never received a PIN in the mail for some odd reason. I was too lazy to call in and retrieve a PIN, LOL*

- License Received in Mail: 4/2/07

31 days for me with no problems. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that received it pretty fast.

Given that some are coming back sooner it might be of some value to add an "under 30 days" option.

Exactly 5 weeks...but this was back in 2004. I renew next year and it will be interesting to see how that goes.
