50 rds of 9mm should be like $12. 100 rd of 9mm WWB should be like $22.
You have to look at limits too. At Academy (assuming they have 9mm) I can buy 1,2, or 3 boxes (depending on the store).

At Freedom Munitions, I can buy 20 boxes.

Whatever makes you happy and you can afford, go for it.

I was just updating and letting folks know what I saw today.

This afternoon, GT Distributors in Dallas had American Eagle 9mm 115gr FMJ for $13.99 a box. Limit 2.

Yeah, back in October 2012! Athena used to be $12.99 for 9mm back then.

I can occasionally run into those prices nowadays at Academy. But they limit to customer to one box, which totally bites.

I stopped by a couple of WalMarts on the way to work this morning and didn't find anything for me, but both of them had a bunch of 7.62x39. Must have been at least 30-40 boxes each. WalMart in Bedford on 121 South at Cheek Sparger and the other on Precinct Line and Harwood. Oh, if only I had something to shoot that with. Oh well, maybe next year.

Scored 3 boxes of 9mm at the Walmart in Waxahachie. From the conversations I heard, people come every evening at 7:30 and stand in line to see if any ammo came in. I was driving by and stopped in. 12 people in line.

Limit one per order plus $18 shipping makes it about $45 a box. I'll pass.

The shipping with Midway is always bad I usually just use them when I have large orders, the ammo is gone now anyway.

Looking for 9mm for a couple of months and refused to pay Internet inflated price + shipping. Nothing at local Walmart in Nacogdoches which I check periodically first thing in the AM. Stopped by Walmart in Center and couldn't believe my eyes, 100 count 9mm Federal value pack for $21. Snapped up three of them. They also had 40 cal in 100 count Winchester white box for $35 and .380 Tullamo for I think $14.

Location: Wal-Mart, West Main St./FM1171, Lewisville, Denton County.

Time/date: Saturday, 5/25/13, ~ 745 PM.

I spotted the following handgun ammo on sale and was quite amazed to find any pistol ammo so late in the evening.

.40 FMJ, 180 grains, Federal Premium brand, 5 boxes, each with 50 rounds, $15.97 per box.

I hope one of my neighboring forum members can hop on this.

I walked into Academy here in Galveston on Friday afternoon to find about 20-30 boxes of Monarch .223 for about $8/box. Limit 1. Got my brother to buy one behind me. Shot it up this weekend. Walked in today to see if there was anything, but they were cleaned out. A good amount of 7.62x39 and 9mm HD ammo though. Maybe 3 boxes of .308
