Just wanted to say hi to everyone and say this forum is a big help for chl holders. Just checked the website today and saw application completed. Here's my timeline:

3/24- CHL Course
3/26- Mailed Application to Austin
3/28- Application received by Austin
4/06- Processing Application
5/04- Application Completed
5/06 -Just waiting for Plastic

seems like Austin is moving pretty fast

I would like to carry IWB or small of the back, I have been practicing with both at home and actually like small of the back better  , what do you guys think about this particular carry method??

SOB is very comfortable and well concealed when standing or walking. Not so much in real life, which involves bending, squatting, and sitting in cars and office chairs.

If you're practicing at home, have someone spot you and give honest feedback. Chances are, SOB carry that is invisible when you're standing, will shine like a spotlight when you "reach for something on the bottom shelf", or "bend down to swoop up your toddler".

Even when doing a proper squat to lift something heavy, SOB carry will stick out like a red flag.

When they say "we mailed it out" on a certain day, they probably mean that they tossed it into the outgoing mail tub on that certain day. When that tub gets toted to the P.O. to actually mail could be a different day. (I've got a feeling they make one trip a week to the P.O.).

Sit tight. I'm sure it'll show up today or tomorrow.

Yup. Took 4 days for me to get mine, and I'm local. Today or maybe tomorrow for you would be my guess.

I should have gone to Vegas this weekend!!

Seriously, congratulations. You don't ever have to wait for it like that again. Just don't let it lapse.
