Congrats on your chl. The only difference in our time lines is I completed my online app on 2.23.13 I mailed the same day you did regular mail .
I was in BG for 5days- I got my license on 5-11. I saw quite a few people on here that mailed on the same day we did. I did not see any with the same day I did my online app.
Eek! I'm going to be glued to the mailbox the next few days. Hang in there everyone!

I calles DPS @ noon talked to a Darrel , and asked the status on my app he said everthing looked good but I still has another 30 days to wait. It has been 61 already.

The customer service reps for DPS know nothing about how long its going to take. It won't be another month unless they find something on your BG check.
2/26-Mailed paper app and packet.
5/20-Plastic in hand.

On 3/10 I received a automated response telling me thank you for using the online system. I was certain that I would not receive anything other than a auto response since it was Sunday. On Monday 3/11/13 I received another email saying "Thank you for using the Regulatory Services Division’s website.We have received your documents and they have been forwarded to our processing department. Please allow 2-3 weeks to be updated by the department." I figured "awesome!", submitting everything online paid off. No online statues update but I figured it may take more time. Then on Monday 4/15/13 I received the EXACT same email as above. Even After that I had no online statues update. I start wondering what is going on. I talked to my father-in-law that took the class with me and sent his information in the mail on 3/11/13 and said that he just got is status up date. This was on 4/21/13 I believe. Saturday 5/18/13 his statues shows that his CHL is being mailed. As of today(5/20/13) it has been 71 days since I have submitted my information online and I still do not show a statues online. It still gives me the "Application processed online. Concealed Handgun Licensing is waiting on the receipt of required materials. Once the application and materials have been received by Concealed Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page." I have used the online system to check up on it but get generic looking responses in return. I have tried calling many times but I cant get through due to high call volumes and the auto system just hangs up on me. I will keep calling until I get to speak with someone. Has anyone else had this issue besides me? I'm getting kind of frustrated. Anyone have any suggestions for me?

I submitted my stuff online as well, and I started to worry about nothing going through but I did call and of course got the generic answer "Wait a few more weeks". Then I got the fax number and I faxed my documents anyway a week later I got my first update and started roll from there.
Finally Received my Texas Concealed Handgun License.
It showed up the day after I rec'd my Streamlight TLR-4 Laser/Light for my CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical.
Now if only I can drop some weight as easily as I drop handgun and accessories names, I may even be able to actually wear the dang thing w/o a shoulder rig.
It has been 61 already.
