i like the part about letting ffls have access to the stolen gun database and the ability to do quick checks on potential employees

I am surprised these rules dont exist already ..common sense
i bet they do but no body knows it

Grassley/Cruz was pure politics.

Now when the Dems say "the GOP refused to sign on to common sense background checks", the GOP can reply "we put a common sense bill on the floor and you refused to support it".

Pure politics.

We all know the majority of gun deaths are at the hands of gangs and drug dealers. If those individuals use or possess guns in the commission of a felony, they need to be actually prosecuted, and the penalty sufficient to take them off the streets for a long time. Just imagine the impact the proposed legislation would have on Chicago, etc., which don't attack the real problem. Thanks for taking the lead Senators Cruz and Grassley!
