Senate Republican ‘Gang of 4″ To Oppose Gun Bill

March 28, 2013

Republican Senators Rand Paul, Mike Lee, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio sent this letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, opposing any further legislation against “the American people’s right to bear arms.” Reid, who has been somewhat of a gun rights stalwart, recently stated that any new gun control legislation coming out of the U.S. Senate would include a federal background check for all gun buyers.

God bless them. I am not surprised at all to see who is on the list. If only the rest had the same convictions regarding the Constitution....

Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and James Inhofe, R-Okla., joined three other Republican senators threatening to filibuster any new restrictions on guns Thursday.

The two senators added their signatures to a letter previously signed by Sens. Rand Paul, R-Ky., Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, vowing to protect the Second Amendment.

If I recall correctly...It used to be the "Gang of 16"???, then it shrank to 12, then 8, now its 4???

Seems to me the Sente is losing its backbone, on an issue that is way more important than some of the stuff folks were fawning over for those larger "gangs" back in the day...

Good for these gentlemen, it appears that virtue, courage and true conservatism still exists in that chamber...

I'd hate to have to drop a dime and call my homies in da hood... ;-) Peace out!!!

Its another one of those cute media tricks...they call any group of Senators a "Gang of #" when they are standing together for something...each time, its a different thing and often group of Senators.

I'm glad atleast one of my senators is willing to loudly stand up for my 2nd amendment rights.

The silence from our other supposedly pro-gun senator is disconcerting though.

"Gang of ...(fill in the blank) - is terminology used by Chinese communists.

Given the love of communism by liberals, you'd think calling any group "Gang of..." would be a compliment.
