There's a growing, active, media-savvy push for it to happen. See: http://battlegroundtexas.com/content/home

That's the place.

Wyoming and Idaho are looking good. I wonder how much a 100 acres and a 1500 sq. ft. house goes for up there.

They are receiving support from the DNC through "Organizing for America". Jeremy Bird, Obama Campaign National Field Director & Huffington Post Blogger, is directly involved in this project. They are smart, relentless, and very well funded.

Californians moved to CO and brought their voting habits with them.

Back on topic, it seems the Senate has, or is about to pass all but one (eliminating campus carry?) From there to the governor who says he'll sign.

From http://www.nraila.org/legislation/state ... enate.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
n a blatant disregard for the constitutional rights of the law-abiding citizens of Colorado, a laundry list of dangerous anti-gun legislation passed yesterday in the state Senate, including:

House Bill 1224 – Bans magazines with a capacity greater than fifteen rounds. (Passed by an 18-17 vote)

House Bill 1228 – Imposes a “gun tax” for a background check when purchasing a firearm. (Passed by a 19-16 vote.)

House Bill 1229 – Criminalizes the private transfer of a firearm. (Passed by a 19-16 vote.)
<snip>
Two of the bills above, HB 1224 and HB 1229, now return to the state House for a concurrence vote on Senate amendments, giving Second Amendment supporters and sportsmen another chance to stop their passage and enactment.

There's a recall effort getting started for some of the CO legislators. I don't live there but I'd be glad to help so let's spread the word!

It appears Hickenpooper has signed these bills, this morning:

>House Bill 1224 – Bans magazines with a capacity greater than fifteen rounds (eight rounds for shotguns) and makes a magazine with a removable floor plate illegal.

>House Bill 1228 – Imposes a fee/ tax for a background check when purchasing a firearm.

>House Bill 1229 – Criminalizes the private transfer of a firearm.

HB1224 contains a requirement that will impact Magpul.
18-12-303. Identification markings for large-capacity magazines - rules. (1) A LARGE-CAPACITY MAGAZINE THAT IS MANUFACTURED IN COLORADO ON OR AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SECTION MUST INCLUDE A PERMANENT STAMP OR MARKING INDICATING THAT THE LARGE-CAPACITY MAGAZINE WAS MANUFACTURED OR ASSEMBLED AFTER THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS SECTION. THE STAMP OR MARKING MUST BE LEGIBLY AND CONSPICUOUSLY ENGRAVED OR CAST UPON THE OUTER SURFACE OF THE LARGE-CAPACITY MAGAZINE.

"I don't think Magpul is about to pull out," Bill Hoover told AP. Hoover's grandson was one of 12 people killed last summer at a movie-theater shooting in Aurora, outside of Denver. "It's going to cost them a bundle of money."
Well, his experience sure qualifies him to make a business decision...

Stop taking CO Vacations.....and don't buy anything from CO. Send them a financial suggestion to reverse the course they are on.

Magpul
"We could choose to stay in a state that wants our jobs and revenue, but not our products, and lose half the jobs we are fighting to save, or potentially the entire business, when our customers stop buying," said Magpul CEO Doug Smith. "Or, we can take the company and those 600 jobs out of Colorado to continue our growth and the growth of American manufacturing in a state that shares our values. This is not really a choice."

A sad day for the state of Colorado. I'm sure going to miss elk hunting in that state, but I will not contribute one dime of my money to a state that suppresses my second amendment rights.

Now the big question.........do I hunt Idaho or New Mexico now?

Please write a letter to Gov. Martinez (NM) and suggest that she do some marketing to disenfranchised CO hunters.
Similar to the marketing Gov Perry is doing in CO and NY.

Maybe offer a trade-in or discount on a NM hunting permit when you bring in your CO permit?

I can drive to NM. ID is lovely, but far.
