Mine is a renewal. I am hoping it moves quicker than the new apps. Maybe not. Oh well... Fortunately I have a Utah non resident I can carry under for awhile.
That doesn't make much sense that it takes 3-4 weeks to crack the envelope. Not trying to brag, but I went 16 days mailbox to mailbox including 2 weekends, and that was only 1.5 years ago and not a renewal...just lucky, I guess. Still, and this is pure speculation on my part, it would surprise me if it took that long, especially for a renewal...just one man's opinion... :tiphat:

As you know, there have been a lot of changes in the last couple of months. Most of which 15,000 applications per month versus a a normal 5,000. There are post after post saying it is taking 30-50 days to get initial CHL and I've seen a couple for renewal as well. There are some that are not taking as long. Even Chas chimed in and said DPS is running 3 weeks. If you don't believe me, just give Rebecca Castillo a call at DPS ... Guess you are just one lucky man 1.5 years ago. :tiphat:

Never said anything about not believing you, amigo. Just said it didn't make sense to me. I haven't checked numbers and wait times in a while, and with the increase in new apps, I can certianly see the elongated times. We are about to find out about the "new" wait times very soon, as my wife will be geting her license within the next few weeks...

I just went manufacturer pending today. TBM was talking with DPS about something else and she was told it's taking 5-10 business days to manufacturer (done by vendor) to in you hands.

Not yet.... Patiently waiting. Tomorrow will be 13 days since I mailed the form to them. If it doesn't show an update tomorrow, I am planning to call them and ask what the hold up is all about.

Lol... I was kidding around in my post above. :biggrinjester: I didn't really expect an update this quick. Just for grins I checked and it has been updated.

Not bad at all. I mailed the form Feb 15th in the afternoon. I had already paid for my license online. There was a three day weekend right after I mailed it. My postal receipt shows they received my forms on the 19th

It's about time. I have no idea why it took them almost three weeks! It has been a grueling wait. I don't have a video of it but I bet I checked my status at least three times. :biggrinjester:
