What is the time limit to submit the application for your CHL after taking the class?

But, if you've started the online process, and paid the fee -- the fee will expire after ONE year.

The CHL-100 (certificate of training) is good for two years for an original license (six months for renewal).
Once the application is submitted, fingerprints and all supporting documents must be submitted within one year.
If DPS sends a letter requesting information, a response is required within 90 days.
