Suspenders work. Don't have to over-tighten the belt. Over a t-shirt and under an untucked cover shirt when in public. Keeps your gear and pants in place.

It takes getting used to. Everybody will have their opinion as to what works best for them. Personally I have always preferred carrying a smaller lighter gun as it is a defensive weapon. I also carry on the waist band with a Fobus or Blackhawk Serpa holster as I find in the waist band uncomfortable. I carry a kel tec pf9 with the Fobus OWB and sometimes when warranted on my ankle with a Blackhawk ankle rig. It is super accurate and with one in the chamber gives me 8 shots. I carry a spare mag as well. One thing you will find is that you try out different things until you find what works best for you. The only suggestion I have is that you get one or two ways to carry and stick with that to build muscle memory. When I carry my Glock 23 (same size as your 19) I use the Blackhawk Serpa. I personally believe that the smaller gun on your person is much better then having no gun with the larger gun in your car or safe.

I was carrying IWB for three months or so off and on and I came to really dislike IWB. I switched to OWB and that is a no muss, no fuss carry method for me. Bought a really nice stiff belt at Tractor Supply for about 12 bucks and that's worked out great as well.

My belt isn't uncomfortably tight. The main problem was that the pistol was digging into my ribs (I'm fairly short) so I made some adjustments to my holster so it would ride lower.

I've been told to carry everywhere, everyday for week just to get used to it.

I found after being uncomfortable with IWB carry for several years, that OWB was worth a try. Quite a difference. I use a high ride OWB, and it's very comfortable. No need to change my entire pants/shorts wardrobe to two sizes larger. Of course, as I am retired now, I have no need to tuck in my shirt, so I don't, and come to think of it I don't need to shave everyday either, and the big plus is that every day is SATURDAY!

Beat me to it. I used to carry IWB with Minotaur MTAC, which is very similar to the Supertuck. As far as IWB holsters go, it was comfortable.....compared to the other IWB holsters I tried....but it wasn't truly comfortable. I have a pretty bad back, and it pressed on my sciatic nerve. NONE of the IWBs were as comfortable as a good OWB holster once I finally caved and bought one. I've been wearing OWB virtually every day since mid 2008. The rare exceptions are when I pocket carry a small gun, or use a shoulder holster for one of my two large frame carry guns. But 95%-99% of the time, I'm carrying either a Kahr CW45 in a Mitch Rosen OWB holster, or a Springfield XDM-45 Compact in a custom made OWB holster from Hopp Custom Leather. And OWB is not that hard to conceal either, even with a full sized pistol.

I was wearing my IWB holster with a gunbelt from D.M. Bullard. It didn't help in my case, but going to an OWB did. A real gunbelt is necessary to a positive carrying experience, but there can be other issues at play.

As one who has transitioned from using IWB almost exclusively to OWB most of the time now, I can say with authority that the amount of padding under the belt is a significant factor here.....

I've been carrying for almost 3 years and I carry my PT-709 in an OWB holster. I learned very quickly that I needed two things right away: A good stiff belt and a batch of tank-top undershirts. The stiffer gun belt carries the load better and closer to my body. The undershirts keep my holster and gun from rubbing up against my skin, which is a nice thing, especially when you're sweating during the heat of summer.

I have a crossbreed supertuck for my Ruger SR40C. I tried wearing it on the side (9 o clock for me as I'm a lefty) and had the SAME ISSUE. I moved it back to 7 oclock and it is MUCH more comfortable. So for you it would be 5 o clock. Try putting the left clip on the left side of your back belt loop and see how that feels. It's also more comfortable to sit at a computer desk and drive. I just shift my butt a little forward in the seat and the gun sits in the gab between my back and the chair back. no pressure. Maybe that will work for you. worth a shot.
