I just saw Chris Kyle's procession travel through Waco. It was indescribable. I was moved to tears.

Saw the procession when it came through Waxahachie. There was about 100 people on overpass where I stood. Quite an impressive display to see the devoted bikers escorting in the rain (must have been at 40 - 50 of them) along with the buses, police cars, and many private vehicles. May you even prouder of being an American to see such a great turnout for one of our heroes. By the way while waiting we stood in the rain and a small pea-sized hail storm. That was nothing compared to what Chris Kyle did for American.

The memorial was really moving. Taps gets me every time.

I was proud to see the Patriot Guard out in force and also glad to see that so many people attended. I was also happy to see that WBC was irrelevant and ignored.

Also, according to a FB friend of mine, one of the riders (Patriot Guard, i believe) apparently went down on his bike, so keep them in your thoughts. And if a mod could delete my post in the political forum, I would appreciate it.

for those complaining that Obama wasn't here....why would we want him here? honestly? and would we have wanted him to corrupt that beautiful service yesterday by speaking at it? 'cause you know he would have had to say something! the service yesterday was perfect, I watched it, it was all about Chris, if O would have said "Hi" it would have suddenly become about O....face it, how many times would he have said "I" in his speech, the man's a narcissist. My guess is the family specifically didn't invite any politicians since none were there and you know the TX pols would have been there if invited.

like Perry has said before "this is Texas and Texans take care of their own" that was proven yesterday and today.

that said, O could have ordered the flags lowered, that would have been nice.

Wife, Daughter and I were located on IH-35 between Belton and Temple in front of the Harley dealership(Horny Toad). I was in contact with other ham operators and the overpasses and roadsides were well filed from Eddy to Belton.

As we were leaving, I made a remark to Wife that we needed to go get a Golden Wing so we could join the Patriot Riders; this was just about the time the procession Patriot Riders had their accident about eight miles from us between Belton and Salado. Maybe this 77 year old body does not need a new toy after all... :nono:

I was proud to be there with flags a'waving!!!

I did hear on the news that Mrs Perry attended the burial and the family went to the Governor's mansion afterwards. Everyone at my house was moved to tears by the sight of so many honoring Chris Kyle and bringing their children too.

I have a friend who rode with the PG in the motorcade. He said almost every single overpass from Midlothian to Austin had people on it paying their respects.
