I'm not a real fan of the introduce yourself thing but I will give it a go.

43, married, 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats and 4 exotic birds.
Do not shoot a lot but have owned firearms ever since I was old enough to legally purchase one. Have lived in Texas for the past 11 years and lived my previous 32 years in MD before coming here.

Currently have a 1911 Colt 45 officers model that I have owned for the last 20+ years and a brand new Bersa .380 CC that I plan to carry with me once I get my plastic.

I spend a lot of time goofing off during the week and teaching my son at home and work on the weekends doing wedding and portrait photography. Decided to get my CHL because of the large amount of money in equipment that I carry and after an incident with my 4 y.o. daughter that made me realize how iimportant it is to protect the family with whatever means I have available to me at ALL times.

That's pretty much it.

Josh

Hello all. New to this site and I'm glad I found it.

I'm 46, born in Arkansas - been in Texas for 14 years.
Happily married, no kids, 1 dog
CHL for 3 years
Recently joined IDPA
Live in Rockwall
Very partial to 1911's

Current Hand Cannons Include:
S&W 1911 Sc
Walther PPKS
Glock 29 - 10mm
Beretta PX4 Storm - 9mm
S&W Model 60 .357
Ruger GP-100 .357 4"

and am currently awaiting a Kimber Stainless Gold Match II 5" 1911 that's been on order for at least 5 years. Ok, ok, it's been less than a week. It just seems like 5 years. I'll post photos in the 1911 photo thread when she gets home.

Thanks Longtooth. The back is 100% for about 355 - 360 days a year. There are a few days every once in a while when my old friend drops by to say "hello". Not complaining. I don't think there's anyone that doesn't have a few of those days every now and then for one reason or another.

My name is Don and I am currently 22 years old. I am Vietnamese American male. I was borned in Orange, TX and raised in Houston, TX. I am now residing in Dallas, TX.

I am a gun enthusist. Going to the gun range is my getaway escape from my daily life. I call it the stress reliever. People think I'm crazy because I told them someone needs to invent a cologne smell of gun powder. I own a couple of handguns and starting to get into semi-auto rifles. I'm also license to carry a concealed handgun. If someone going try to rob/steal from me, they better think first before doing anything stupid because I am packing serious heat.

Basketball is the love of my life. I run a few open games at my local 24 hours fitness at least 2-3 times a week. I use to run in a basketball league with a few of my friends when I was living in Houston, but that was 2 years ago. I'm really not into college hoops like everyone else is. Something about college hoops doesn't interest me. I mean, I tried sitting down and watch a few games on ESPN, but I get aggrevated at the way these college players running their offense/defense. NBA is my home sweet home. I've been watching the NBA since I was 6 years old. Houston is my hometown, so I'm always rooting for them to win another championship (which is not going to happen anytime soon, lol). I miss my old 94-95 and 95-96 Rockets team. Clutch City is what they used to called us. That was the good old days.

I've been living in Dallas for almost 2 years. Reason why I moved is because of the job. I am currently in the HP Remanufactured Toner/Ink Cartridge Business. My uncle started this business when I moved here. He asked for my help, so I did what was best and left Houston to help him out. Business is operating smoothly as planned.

I've been in the sports investment business since I was 16 years old and still going strong. I do occasional NL Holdem on the weekend with a few family members, or sometimes we just leave to play poker in Oklahoma casinos. Texas got some pretty messed up law. I mean you are allowed to carry a handgun or a rifle, but gambling is illegal? IMO, Texas government is a mess.

What's up, I'm Brad a single 28 year old IT professional for a Fortune 100 company here in Houston who born and raised in the Pasadena/Deer Park area. I recently relocated from Friendswood to a condo I purchased on the Sharpstown golf course in southwest Houston and that is the main reason I am here. I've grown up around guns and fired them all my life, I've been putting off obtaining my CHL for years now and figure now that I've moved from the safety of the suburbs to the hubub of the big city there is no better time than now. I'm an easy-going guy who is your avid twenty-something closet nerd, gamer, sports fanatic, muscle car lover and gadget getter... luckily I'm still single otherwise I wouldn't be able to afford all of my vices.
