I read an incredible book called "Enemies, Foreign and Domestic" by Matthew Bracken that dealt with a "doomsday" type scenario for gun owners and the actions taken by upset citizens in the aftermath. I don't see us as being there yet, but it may not be too far over the horizon.

I am just shy of 70 years old and your post made my day. You expressed my own viewpoints perfectly! Thank You!The Annoyed Man wrote:I've got nothing to lose by breaking the law. As long as we have RINO Republicans who "just want to get along and compromise," we cannot be assured of victory in congressional fights. Every election counts and we need to get our conservative leaders elected. The day for compromise is long gone. LET THE ULTRA LEFT COMPROMISE.
There are absolutes in our world and we need to stand up for these absolutes, be counted, and hold firm to our principles. If the left sees us as "the enemy," then we are probably doing the right thing.

It is the time to stand up and fight with your dollars, your vote and your feet. In the next election, do not stay at home. Hit the road and do door to door canvasing. Talk to your friends and relatives to support 2ndA elected officials.
Mr. President Obama, made it clear, there is no limit to his socialist and left wing progressive agenda (read it like a communist socialist).
2nA is being targeted, GOP to be eliminated as opposition. The good thing the house is still in the hand of GOP. We just hope that they wull hold the line and provide 0 compromise. Let us claim back the Senate and Mr. President Obama would back off his agenda and forced to listen to the people.
People rules, not politicians.

I really believe that this Administration has effectively become a teflon-coated entity that has immunized itself totally (and effectively) from the constraints of our Constitutional government.
Our current Congress is apathetic and has no will to combat it.
I am sorely afraid that 2/3rd's of Gun Owners in the USA will indeed be required to defy a gun ban.

Jesus taught us that persistence is the key to victory in our spiritual lives. The same holds true in all aspects of our life. Persistence along with being faithful to the truth will win out one day.The Annoyed Man wrote:I've got nothing to lose by breaking the law. The American gun owning public is being duped again, just like we were duped the two weeks before the election when we were convinced that Romney was ahead by several percentage points. The media, including our “friends” at Fox, Drudge, and other “conservative” outlets, are attempting to sell us the concept that the “assault weapon ban” legislation can’t pass, and this is a lie.DLBConductor wrote:As long as we have RINO Republicans who "just want to get along and compromise," we cannot be assured of victory in congressional fights. Don’t be a fool and believe it when they tell us we can’t lose. We are going to get beaten again if we don’t act. CONTACT your Senators and Congressmen... constanly! Call, Email, Fax... then do it again! Our voices NEED to be heard and be polite, yet aggressive!!

I find the whole gun registration thing intolerable. The day I'm required to register my weapons is the day I become a criminal.

Re: 2/3rds of U.S. weapons owners would 'defy' a federal gun
2/3? Based on what I saw during previous bans and current Federal laws, I would be surpised if more than 2 or 3 percent of average Americans defied a new ban. The number will probably be close to 100% in some groups, like gang members and people who can't own guns at all. In for a penny, in for a pound, for them.
But the average American with a 9-5 job and a mortgage and family? They may talk a good game.

Without getting into a long post, my thoughts and beliefs now are a result of my watching the ongoing decay of the country I love dearly. My wife and I gave part of our very existence for this country.
To see it trampled and urinated on by the collectivists angers me beyond description.
To see the sponges sucking the life out of what I work hard to provide angers me beyond description.
Many will not comply with any new laws. Even more ver y well may. That is their decision based on their values and what is more important to them at the time.
I am nearing my retirement yearrs where we were going to enjoy the fruits of our labor.
I cannot enjoy retirement while standing idly by and allowing a tyrannical regime take away the very freedoms I have already sacrificed much to keep.
It looks as if I have another job to do after I stop what I am doing now.
