From the link..
"The criminals are not going to come forth and turn in their high capacity magazines. If an altercation arises, which it's going to, the person with the limited magazine capacity is at a very bad disadvantage," McNamara said. "You don't want to end up second place in a gun fight. There are no second place winners."

The sheriff of Collin County, north of Dallas, is also speaking out.

"Neither I, nor my deputies will participate in the enforcement of laws that violate our precious constitutional rights," Sheriff Terry Box said.

Come on Williamson County lets see the same statement........

Kudos to Sheriff McNamara. With his background as an LEO
he knows of what he speaks. When I lived in Waco I went to school with some of
his family and knew Parnell. Good people and he will make a good sheriff.

I live in the county right next door and never really knew who he was. That was until he decided that in lieu of paying to have the county jails electric upgraded it would just be easier to remove the prisoners' microwave ovens that were creating the problem. He may not be as extreme as Sheriff Joe but I am liking his style so far.

If the State converts a right into a privilege, the citizen can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right with impunity. -- Shuttleworth v. City of Birmingham

We are Highly Unlikely to get a similar statement from the Harris County Sheriff. :mad5

I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.

Bosque County Sheriff Anthony Malott issued a statement today, saying he would not enforce any federal law or Executive Order that infringed on the Constitutional rights of citizens under the Second Amendment. I hope this continues to spread all over the state :thumbs2:

As a resident of McLennan County, I deeply appreciate and support Sheriff Parnell McNamara's forthright public statement. His viewpoints make a lot of sense.

The list grows and grows and grows. I wonder if people in the White House are starting to squirm a little yet?
