It normally does take about 2 weeks or so from them 'actually' getting your mailed documents, to them posting it on the website,
With the Christmas and New Years holidays, as well as probably more applications coming in daily than ever before, I would expect by Wednesday morning or so, you would see it updated.
If nothing by then, at that time, you may want to call or email
(I did find emailing them (3 years ago) seemed to get a better response than a phone call did)

Waited........
On Line check...................... nothing until 1/5/13 Someone said it changes on a Saturday!
Site shows

So, we all know that this has been a very busy time of year with a billion background checks, holiday stuff etc. But, this is the first I have seen on the website that anything is being done and yes it was a Saturday.
Hope this helps others

When checking status this morning I received a web page that says "This Texas.gov service is temporarily down for maintenance. We apologize for the inconvenience. Please check back soon."
Is anyone else seeing this page?

So I guess Texas sent me a letter about a previous arrest that i never got and they told me they sent it awhile ago. So I got the joy of leaving a voicemail. So instead of waiting for someone to call me back in about two weeks. I fiqured I would ask here if anyone else got a letter something like this. They told me on the phone that what they need was more info on a previous arrest. Had dismissed charges. So what i am trying to figure out does anyone think they just want the court documentation like the court proceedings? So I can just send that in to them without waiting for someone who might not even call me back. Thank you all for your time

They want certified judgment documents and all charging instruments, you have to get them from the county or city clerk where the arrest occurred. Make sure they are certified, I unfortunately have a lenghty background from my rebellious teenage days so I will be going through the same thing. I sent all my certified docs with my packet when I first mailed it,still haven't even gotten the update yet that they have received my stuff so I'm not so patiently waiting to see what they say. Good luck!

And yes I would just send the documents even if you don't get in touch with them first.

Mine has been on the "Mailed" status for at least a week now. I could have picked it up myself from DPS in Austin if I had known it was gonna take this long.
How long does it take to actually receive it from when the status changed to mailed? I hope not too long.
I thought about going to the State Capitol and going through the CHL lane as a sort of "Right of Passage". Maybe its dumb, but I guess I'm a tool like that. Lol.

Expect 3-4 weeks for status to change.
