Finally, movement by someone with a silmiliar timeframe to mine. Hoping your status is good news for me. Sent mine in on 11/14, no update yet... so hopefully by Friday they'll at least update to everything being received. That for giving me some hope

Wife mailed her's on 11/13. No update yet. I think the Thanksgiving holiday delayed things, as well as DPS being inundated by applications post election. Just my assumption - nothing to back that up other than assuming record gun sales means record people wanting to carry.

Looking at other forums, and seeing that other states are much faster. And less expensive.

I knew it was a good sign... Moved forward a step today. Background check is underway. Still have hopes of getting it prior to the start of the new year!

Mailed mine on 11/15 and still no update.

Something to be said for whoever on this forum wrote about the cycle at DPS. Seems like wife's packet arrived on a Thursday, and was updated online on a Thursday. Looks like they have piles by weekday, and that's when their online system gets updated. Can help with many people's checking of the system multiple times per day or week.

Also, seems like their overnight network processes update the status check system - was updated by just after 6am yesterday.

Got mine monday. It moved pretty quick once they "received" the packet(3 weeks after mailing) but remember when it says "mailed" its not really in the mail. Took 2 and a half weeks after the last update to get home.

That's awesome man, so far its been a great experience, my wife is going through Louisiana and they don't even have a status page. The wait is over 120+ days for a CHL application to go through.
