Here is my new Walmart Special. I was fooling around in Walmart and saw this and asked to see it.......now I just have to get out of the dog house :evil2:

Sighted it in today and it shoots great.

Congrats on what looked like a pretty nice deal. Color me jealous. :thumbs2:

A store manager told me some of the Walmarts carry Sig models. I've seen a few Bushmasters around me. From what I understand the manufacturer depends greatly on what region the store is located in.

The only Sig ARS I've seen at walmart have been their .22 AR variants.

I've seen both Colt and DPMS M4 style carbines, and DPMS AR-10 rifles in .308.

That's a nice price, especially this close to the elections.

I hope you like it!

What type of gun is that?

In general, never buy a gun on impulse, unless you already know all about all the other options and know what your are getting. I learned that with my first AR, my first pistol,my first shotgun, my first wife, etc.etc. Just kidding about the wife, I haven't upgraded her. Yet! LOL!

I have an poor uncle who just bought a Bushmaster Carbon 15 on impulse with out doing any research. He spent $775, he bought purely on price, nothing else. He could have had a Spike's tactical for $850 (great gun) or a Colt LE6920 for $1000. This was meant to be his WROL, when it all hits the fan gun, not for spending time diagnosing a jammamatic at the range gun. Worst choice ever and what hurts more is that he stuck with this thing and probably won't be able to buy something quality now. I don't think he even knows it yet, I did not have the heart to tell him what a mistake he made. He really should have consulted someone (like me).

From all the reviews and horror stories and having sales people tell me not to buy this even though they were selling it, its just a waste of $775 IMO on junk. Not that I think all Bushies are junk, just the Carbon 15. Spend a little more and get something worthwhile. Its worth it.

That said there are many economical AR's that are acceptable, just know what your are buying.
Chance favors the prepared. Making good people helpless doesn't make bad people harmless.

Sometimes I really wish a lawyer would chime in and clear things up. Do we have any lawyers on this forum?
