HELP defeat Incumbent State Senator, District 10, Wendy Davis. She is a Harvard Educated, Anti-Gun, Socialist, Liberal. While on the Fort Worth City Council, she tried to shut down Gun Shows. In the State Senate, she votes with the anti-gun crowd. Show your support for her opponent, a true conservative, pro-gun, Dr. Mark Shelton. Join other gun owners at the Blue Mesa Grill, 1600 S. University, Fort Worth, on Tuesday September 25th, 6 PM to 7:15 PM , to meet, greet, and show your support for the man who will support you, Dr. Mark Shelton

she fought against Campus Carry

Sen. Wendy Davis, D-Fort Worth, asked Wentworth how the amendment was germane to the fiscal matters bill, causing the Senate to recess for about 30 minutes. When they returned, Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst said Wentworth's amendment was only relevant because Zaffirini's amendment had made it so.

Davis offered an amendment to Wentworth's amendment that would allow the universities' boards of regents to opt in or out of concealed carry on campus. Wentworth was able to table her amendment with a 19-12 vote. Wentworth's amendment then prevailed with a 21-10 vote.

This should be interesting. Dr. Donna is viewed by many as being actually insane. Wentworth raised more than a few eyebrows last session with his relentless determination to pass his Guns in Campus Buildings bill, even trying to prevent Senator Wendy Davis from attending her own kid's high school graduation in Fort Worth, threatening to bring the bill up for a vote while she was away.
And, IIRC, her filibuster at the end of the session cost taxpayers roughly 5 million dollars.

Updated: June 7, 2011, 1:45 p.m. This probably wasn't what Sen. Wendy Davis had in mind. It's been a week since the Fort Worth Democrat filibustered the controversial school finance compromise in the last week of the regular legislative session and forced a special session to deal with the budget cuts to education. In that week, the Senate has moved at lightening speed, passing not only the school finance plan that Davis and other Democrats found reprehensible, but also Senate Bill 8, which allows school districts to furlough teachers and cut their pay, as well as making it easier to…

No one in the Senate is worse than Wendy Davis on Second Amendment issues! In fact, she's wrong on just about every issue in my opinion, but that's beyond the scope of this thread. (It's probably violate our Rules anyway.)

I just had lunch with a coworker who told me about spending all day Saturday knocking on doors campaigning for Davis.

I read that article and don't see how it cost taxpayers. Looks to me like they cut the budget drastically in the special session. How could that cost more?

Not being picky, I want to be prepared when I get an opportunity to bring this up.

I heard 5 ... this Video says 1 million, but that was just for the cost of the Special Session itself., perhaps there were other costs attributable to not passing this or that bill until later such that additional interest or costs accrued.

And there lies our country's problem in my humble opinion. Liberals have no problem indoctrinating from cradle to grave, at work and at play. They trained cowardly Conservatives not to talk about religion and politics. Look where that has gotten us.

Last night, I attended the meet and greet for Dr. Mark Shelton at the Blue Mesa restaurant in Fort Worth. It was well attended with supporters of this conservative, pro-Texas, pro-gun candidate. Alice Tripp was there along with A NRA rep from Austin. Believe me when I say, if you live in State Senate District 10 (look at you Voter Registration card, if you are not sure,) and you love Texas, your Second Amendment, and your freedom, get out and vote for Dr. Mark Shelton. Get 10 others to vote for him. His opponent is a dangerous liberal with big ambitions and needs to be defeated, now, before she can spread the destructive doctrine that eating up America as we know it.

I am in District 10 and could not agree more with everyone's sentiment on Wendy Davis! I wrote her over and over during campus carry. I was polite and tried to outline the risk it puts women at to not be allowed to carry on campus. She never even once acknowledged my contact. Apparently, she could not care less what her constituents think if they are not registered democrats. We have voted against her and will continue to do so, but it certainly does not help when they cut up my district to make sure dems get more votes. I just saw a political ad on TV pushing her reelection. She makes herself sound like she is an awesome  but she makes me :ack: :ack:

She is scheduled to appear at a Debate watch party I will be attending on Wednesday. I'll be certain to get her ear...the situation on campuses is horrendous! TCU and SMU both have sexual attacks and robberies all the time.
