My first carry in public
My license came in on Friday evening and I was going to do the wally walk first on Saturday.
Well, Friday evening just after opening my License, my wife wanted to run down and look at some travel trailers so I strapped it on and away we went.
NO one noticed.
Ha Ha, just couldn't wait, so I did the wally walk on Saturday morning.
Strolled thru wally world and bought some Ammo and a couple of other items and no one noticed anything.
I have to admit, It felt pretty weird carrying a loaded weapon in public for the first time.
I just didn't hold to tradition and do the wally walk first, but all went well so I am a little more at ease now.

things to pay attention for about yourself: You will at first at least always be adjusting your carry. You will always be looking to see if anyone is eying you, and you will expose your gun several times before you figure out what is the best way to carry. Every student i have ever tough has reported this, and I was Guilty of it as well, but its normal just get past it. Congrats on your wally walk.

Congrats! and good points Richardc. I've been carrying around the house while waiting for mine and I've had a couple of delivery guys and service techs come to the house while I was carrying. I think I accidentally flashed while helping the Uverse tech run some wires. Oops!

mrm1955Tex,
After a few weeks, you will get over the feeling that everyone is looking at you.
Good luck on travel trailers. Just sold my 2011 pull-along, and have been looking for a used motorhome. Went to PPL in Houston last Thursday, and PPL in New Braunfels on Friday. No luck yet, still looking.

If the 2nd admendment only applies to muskets and muzzle-loaders, then the 1st admentment must apply only to the spoken or printed word. Printing must be done on hand presses, news stories must be written in longhand, no keyboards or electric processes may be used.

Welcome! And remember, most importantly, when doing the Wally walk if you see someone dressed funny to take photos. That stuff cracks me up.

Before long, it will seem completely awkward (uncomfortable) to not have your CCW on you. Mine goes on before I even put on my shoes.

That's a great way to put it.Jumping Frog wrote:

The feeling will subside over time....and then you'll feel weird when you're disarmed.
