Took my class May 2 and had my plastic in hand June 10 if I recall correctly. Best piece of mail I have ever received
Happily serving in the USAF.

Re: DPS Processing Times
I sent my paperwork in July 5th. My plastic arrived August 9th.
This was for a new CHL permit.
Definitely pleasantly surprised.

Re: DPS Processing Times
filled out online application for renewal on aug 15th. took renewal class on aug 25th. mailed form 100 on aug 27th. checked state site today. shows still waiting on forms.
Re: DPS Processing Times
Submitted online application on 9/14/2012 and still waiting. DPS site shows they received all my paperwork, but are still "reviewing" I'm getting so impatient.

Re: DPS Processing Times
holy crap that's a long time... do you check it everyday? I have a hunch that the less you log on and check on it, the faster that the process will be... but that's just my hypothesis.tweaked wrote:Submitted online application on 9/14/2012 and still waiting. Re: DPS Processing Times
Took CHL class on September 9th / sent paperwork on September 10th / October 8th application being processed pending background review / October 30th background review complete - pending manufacturing / October 31st sent to mailroom / November 1st mailed / November 13th received plastic.
Overall, seemed like a long time but am glad the process is complete.

Re: DPS Processing Times
That's not encouraging. That means I may still have 2 weeks for mine to make it to my mailbox. That would mean they're running close to 8 weeks on renewals. Although I'm not sure new or renewal are processed any different.Pep wrote:Took CHL class on September 9th / sent paperwork on September 10th / October 8th application being processed pending background review / October 30th background review complete - pending manufacturing / October 31st sent to mailroom / November 1st mailed / November 13th received plastic.

Re: DPS Processing Times
42 days from mailbox to mailbox!
10/13 CHL course
10/23 sent documents and fingerprints
11/10 application and documents received, background check under review
11/16 background check completed, manufacturing pending
11/20 mailed
12/4 PLASTIC IN HAND!
I saw the stamp on the letter and they actually didnt even mail it until the 29th... So whoever said that after it says 'mailed' it actually sits in a pile for another week, they were right!
At any rate. FINALLY GOT MY PLASTIC!

60 Days mailbox to mailbox.
I believe there are more instances of the abridgement of freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments by those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.
