Two things. The video won't be up on YouTube for long, and the video will be in Republican campaign ads from now until Nov 6.

What clearer statement could the Democrats make? They don't want God mentioned at all, and they don't want America to support the only democracy in the MidEast.

Something that has been bothering me. In his acceptance speech, Romney said,
And unlike the President, I have a plan to create 12 million new jobs.
I was wondering why not a plan to create 15 million new jobs? Or 20 million new jobs? Or even 30 million new jobs? I mean, if you are going to promise new job creation, why limit yourself?

I do not like when presidents promise things they cannot deliver, all he can do is create an environment in which business can thrive or put people on the fed's payroll. If the latter is what he is talking about then we are all in deep, if it is the former then why not just say,
I want to create an environment where business can prosper and be willing to hire all the workers they need to be profitable, which will create new opportunity for millions of others, and get the engine of the free market running again."
Seems like he is dumbing it down. Is my libertarianism showing? :oops:

Yeah, that bugs me, too. I hope he hasn't handed the dems ammo for 2016.

If he were able to get the unemployed figure down to 6.2% by 2016 (totally feasible with a business friendly economy), that would be roughly 12 million new jobs based on the current number of unemployed.

I'm not worried.

When somebody with some gravitas starts that party, I'll be joining.
Until then, the last one on that list ceases to exist without the first two being under control, so, that's how I find myself voting.

I see the potential to completely marginalize the Democratic party, by showing their members how financial responsibility and small government gives people the freedom to pursue their own social agenda freely, without demanding that the government step in and make decisions/limits for people. In the same way the Tea Party has changed the GOP, a fiscally conservative, socially libertarian faction can revolutionize the Donkey party.

You want to promote your personal views on birth control? You have every right to do so, but don't ask the government to pass laws. Gather a group of like minded people, raise YOUR OWN money, create a social campaign to convince people your way is the right way. Don't try to legislate your views onto my moral compass.

I went to a few Tea Party meetings in 2010. I'm 110% on board with Tea Party fiscal/small-government conservatism, but I felt completely alienated by the religious justifications that members wanted to make for just about everything. I can easily justify small government and fiscal responsibility with economic facts. Using the Bible to push people into a particular viewpoint is shortsighted and leaves MANY people who would otherwise support you out in the cold, IMO. Religion is most certainly under attack from the Left, and I'm near the front of the line to say the attacks are both wrong headed and eroding the morality of our country. But my justifications are factual, not biblical.

Way OT... Sorry..

Vote for Mitt.!!! :hurry:
A vote for anyone else is a vote for the European-style, big-government, Socialism, because only Mitt can beat Obama. There is no 3rd party candidate in this election that has even a snowballs chance in hades of beating BHO... And that's a fact.
:thumbs2:
Well stated ! I'm fiscally conservative, but socially take more of a "live and let live" philosophy and try not to look down my nose at someone else because they "sin" differently than I do. I don't need or want the government legislating moral issues....might as well ask a coyote to guard the goats. I've always liked a quote by Mark Twain: "Suppose you were an idiot, and suppose you were a member of Congress....but wait, I repeat myself."
"I looked out under the sun and saw that the race is not always to the swift, nor the battle to the strong" Ecclesiastes 9:11

Hmmmm. In a way, he's right. Kinda. Most Christians believe that Jews are required to convert and believe in Jesus in order to go to Heaven and that those who don't will go someplace a bit warmer. In Hebrew culture, converting to a different religion has traditionally been seen as the "death" of the Jew who converted.

Somehow though, I don't think he's talking about it in that sense.

Speaking of transparency and honor..
Here's a story about Axelrod and the DOJ leaning on Gallup after they published a poll showing Romney in the lead.

http://dailycaller.com/2012/09/06/justi ... pollsters/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Internal emails between senior officials at The Gallup Organization, obtained by The Daily Caller, show senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod attempting to subtly intimidate the respected polling firm when its numbers were unfavorable to the president.

After Gallup declined to change its polling methodology, Obama’s Department of Justice hit it with an unrelated lawsuit that appears damning on its face.
Disgusting. :mad5

Most Jews, most anyone of even median intelligence, don't experience this level of irrational persecution unless they're on methamphetamine. It's been my experience that even the most evangelical of Christians strongly support Israel (Genesis 12:1-3). The NY Times said so 6 years ago, so it much be true :roll: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/14/washi ... wanted=all" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
