Apparently a LOTTA women love this gun. Ana narrowed it down from a Kahr CM9, CW9, K9 and Walther PPS.

I shot the heck out of it today to break it in, and it ran like a champ. Zero feed/fire problems and it was surprisingly pleasant to shoot. I expected it to be a bit more jumpy, but she stayed on target just fine. Mrs. Snatchel gets home tomorrow, so this will be waiting for her. Range day coming soon i'm sure.

It takes a better man than I to give up his G30 to get his wife a gun. :tiphat:

That is a fine little gun, though. I keep looking at that one and the CM9 at shows and keep wondering if the price difference is worth it.

Did you also buy the CM9 or a second CW9 like you mentioned you might do?

Read some great reviews on the Kahrs. Would love to test one out one day.

The part that snatchel left out of the story is that he came by my house yesterday and I let him fondle and dry-fire a PM9, CW9, and a CW45. It didn't take much to convince him they had to have one or two of them.

Always nice to have a friend to let you fondle a gun before you buy.

Nice pick up but I have to admit I felt a little twitch when you said you gave up a G30 for it.

I've come to really like the Kahr offerings lately. I just got a screaming deal from a friend on a CM9 that'll ride in a front pocket or sometimes on a belt when the G19 is not practical. I really like the look of the CW9 too.

We also had the chance to "co-fondle" one another's compact .45s—his Glock 30 mentioned in the OP, and my XDm45 Compact 3.8. The Glock is a good gun, but it confirmed that I had made the right choice for me with the XDm.

Don't worry folks. I may have given up the G30 (for now) to get this, but the wifey wanted her own gun. There is no price tag on that LOL. If she had said she wanted a gun.... but only if she could have an Ed Brown--I would have made it happen.

Anyway. I will definitely miss the G30. A lot. I'm already having withdrawals. As a matter of fact I dreamt last night that I got into a tough spot, and didn't have it. I will be replacing it soon, no worries. Mrs. Snatchel knew exactly how much I loved that piece, and she knew from the get-go that if I traded it for her gun, I would want to replace it.

A happy wife makes a happy husband.
