Looks like the officer killed was Brian Bachmann who was sworn into office in January 2011. There are pictures of him and his family including some very young kids on his election page for Facebook. RIP.

Not me, but my friends. Brian left behind a wife and children.
I'm flying back from New England and about to board my connection.
Shooter and civilian also dead.
Brian was serving an eviction notice.
I'll know more when I get home later tonight.

Glad you're okay. So sorry that you lost a friend. From everything I've been able to find on the guy, he was a great man.gigag04 wrote:Not me, but my friends. Brian left behind a wife and children.

Just in again & We are thankful for GigAg being OK. We will all continue to pray for the widow, kids, & family members of the officers.
Remember to pray for the family of the shooter too. God grant them remorceful spirit & not blame society or someone else.

Re: Active Shooter In College Station 8/13
I started a new job with A&M Galveston last month and am in College Station this week. I was in a meeting on campus when the alert came through and quite frankly felt extremely naked without my gun on my person.

I thought GigAg has mentioned that he's with the Round Rock PD. Am I mistaken?
I am not and have never been a LEO. My avatar is in honor of my friend, Dallas Police Sargent Michael Smith, who was murdered along with four other officers in Dallas on 7.7.2016.
