Most Valuable tools

#1

Post by CMalin »

I thought maybe we could have a thread discussin what "tools" each instructor likes to use in their presentations, or what they find have learned throughout their years of experience teaching. Maybe you learned something new during an audit, or maybe you have found a new piece of case law instructors might like to use.

I realize each intructor is different and may not want to give up their "recipe" however it may be benificial to others to see what they might try in the class. Afterall it is all about having educated CHL holders out there to make the program look good.

Just throwing the idea out there! SO feel free to post up!

I have found that using a portable scanner along with my laptop makes the document saving process much easier!

I would be interested in knowing what projectors and audio systems instructors recommend, and maybe where they found good prices on them.

I personally use a epson projector. You can find good prices on tigerdirect.com or newegg.com. I think I paid around $300 for mine.

I have been very happy with the following equipment for the last couple of years:

1. Wireless Portable PA system. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EE ... hs_product: I use it during class to provide sound for my laptop/powerpoint, and I use it at the range so all the students can hear me.

2. Casio LED projector. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/indepth/hom ... projectors. Small, light, bright, and much longer life than normal "bulb" projectors.

3. Epson 80 inch projector screen. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HR ... hs_product Portable, nice size.

4. Remotepoint Jade clicker. http://www.amazon.com/SMK-Link-RemotePo ... B000SJHTXE Green laser, sends pageup/pagedon

5. Blue gun/G19. http://www.amazon.com/Rings-Blue-Guns-G ... pd_cp_hi_2 Peace of mind-good for demoing grip, etc.

Hope this helps!

Interesting projectors, but they've been discontinued.
