What's your magazine/round ratio?
Since I'm new to the AR15/M4 world I'm curious about how many magazines everyone has. How many do you keep loaded? I remember a picture someone posted that must have had at least 50 loaded mags in a safe. Do you only have a few or less than 10 mags and hundreds or thousands of rounds?

Well, I can hardly stockpile any .223 if you and I keep shooting it! :)
I have about 8-10 magazines and about 1000 rounds at the moment.

Since I still haven't built my AR yet, this is AKs...but every steel surplus magazine I have is loaded. Its a great way to store the rounds. Not sure how many I have but I know its more than 10 and they're all loaded.

I know how many magazines I have for my AR 15s. All of them are loaded with the exception of the ones I need to upgrade the followers. That's all I have to say about this.

I have 15-20 but I consider AR magazines a semi-disposable component, like socks.

Re: What's your magazine/round ratio?
I have:
18-30 rounders
7-20 rounders
4-10 rounders
All the mags are loaded with either .223, 5.56, or 300 BLK.
Also a few hundred rounds of .223/5.56 and about 10 boxes of 300 BLK. I had more but I went shootin' the other day.

Re: What's your magazine/round ratio?
I keep 4-30 rnd mags loaded with 5.56 and i have 2x420-rnd cans of 5.56. I cant imagine I'd need even that much at home especially with all my pistols loaded.

Usually, no more than this (for the AR anyway):
Spartans ask not how many, but where!
