Prayers needed for sister and her family..
I received this email from my sister last night...
I'm not sure if my brother in law has his CHL or not but he was in his vehicle at the time so I guess that's irrelevant.
Hi Everyone,
Our family is going through some really painful, scary stuff right now and we need prayer. I can't give details but I can tell you it revolves around an incident that occurred and he had to defend he and our son's lives. They are okay and no one was hurt but the ramifications are pretty overwhelming.
After a little research online I found that he had been arrested and charged with deadly conduct discharge firearm hab/building/vehicle.
I asked her for more details about shot that was fired and received...
Into the air, as a warning to let them know he was armed from a moving pickup on the interstate. Two vehicles were
trying to wreck them and they were definitely in fear for their lives. Our attorney is one of the best around and he thinks
he will be able to get it dismissed but if it does go to trial it is a clear cut case of self-defense. The worst part is that the police
treated all of us really badly. They did not care about the other people involved at all, he spent the night in jail and then rather
than the misdemeanor they told us they were charging him with, they changed it to a Felony 3 which carries up to a 10 year sentence.
We have both been having panic attacks and we both started medication yesterday for them, our doc also wants him to see a psychiatrist because his are a lot more severe and he's not sleeping, etc... Right now we just need lots of prayer and somehow we have to try to get back to normal. We had our son spend about an hour with his youth pastor last night just talking about it.
Please pray that their lawyer gets this straightened out soon.

This thread will devolve in to a discussion of warning shots..... Just my $0.02....If you're in fear of grave bodily harm and/or death to the point of discharging your gun. For pete's sack, fire AT the threat!

Life is tough, but it's tougher when you're stupid.

That's the first thing I thought of when I heard.
If you're gonna fire it, fire it AT them.
Otherwise, just show it to them...
But, I guess you never know until your put in that situation..

True, you don't know what to do, 2 cars tried to block in my husband late one night on the freeway, it seemed they wanted his car but he was able to get away, he did not have a gun, he does now.KevinInTx wrote:That's the first thing I thought of when I heard.
