Found it in Tactical Gear magazine spring of 08.
Here's a few online articles:

kalipsocs: a small fixed blade knife is a great choice for a defensive blade. I think everyone should carry one.

Good info, thanks!
I see some things I'd "tweak" (or change altogether) in some of the techniques presented (especially in the first link), but there is no doubt the knife could prove a valuable tool.

Re: Kabar TDI Knife
I just went ahead and ordered the smaller blade KA-BAR TDI LE knife. I wanted the larger TDI knife but decided to go with the smaller blade due to fear of potential illegal/perception if searched by LEO. Has anyone else had this concern? Has anyone else had an LEO encounter while carrying the TDI and if so, please share your experience if you would. Thanks.

Re: Kabar TDI Knife
I have a small TDI that has been carried occasionally. I've never been searched, and I have been stopped for traffic violations, etc. Even when I've informed officers that I was armed, they've never searched me.kP380 wrote:I just went ahead and ordered the smaller blade KA-BAR TDI LE knife. The TDI is legal to carry in Texas, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I carry the small serated tdi on my belt...weakside & reversed so that the handle is forward.
That thing is mean sharp and I want to keep it that way, I never use it for cutting anything. It is dedicated for SD.

Re: Kabar TDI Knife
My TDI just arrived and I'm extremely pleased by the lightweight form factor, ease of deployment & peace of mind as a backup tool.

Re: Kabar TDI Knife
I got one because I was sold by the videos by the folks that designed it. I just can't find a real comfortable way to carry it. However, I can carry a regular knife comfortably just fine.
