Subaru parts

#1

Post by ghostrider »

any Subaru owners here?

I'm looking for recommendations for sources of Subaru OEM parts (2012 Forester) other than a dealer. I need a replacement tail light (or just a lens if I can get it).

thanks

We're still limping along my wifes high school car, a 1997 subaru impreza.

Its old enough that I get parts from the junk yard though, so I can't really help with ideas for new OEM parts.

I will say this for subaru: That flat 4 arrangement does make it a little easier to work on the motor than the V6 stuffed sideways into my Pontiac is.

check RockAuto first.

There is a company called Tyco that makes good aftermarket replacements.
If you insist on OEM replacements and not aftermarket, it's the dealer or salvage yard.

Try CertiFit. I bought tail lights and bumper covers for my daughters 2007 Corolla for reasonable price. E-Bay is another source.

Q. Do you know how to tell a guy is from Colorado?
A. He's the one with the $3,000 mountain bicycle on top of a $500 Subaru.

I love the idea of all-wheel drive, and have been researching buying a Subie.
But then I saw that the 0-60 time on a regular Imprezza (not the WRX pocket rocket)
is a rather sedate 9.8 seconds. That's "lead sled" territory in my book.
