Fingerprint Issues

Has anyone had trouble with the electronic fingerprints not getting to your file. I have given DPS my TCN 3 different times. I have been told that they are having trouble getting my prints to download into my file, and that I am not the only one. My application has been in their hands for 53 days now.

Not sure if they are having trouble with mine or not, but my prints have been "under review" now for several weeks. Of course, all I can keep thinking about is the girl at L-1 telling me not to be surprised if they were rejected as unreadable. She says it "happens all the time" to folks with naturally sweaty hands.

Not just sweaty hands. My wife is a nurse and is constantly cleaning her hands with alcohol-based sanitizers. Those and other cleaning chemicals eat away at the skin and can pretty much "cloud" fingerprints quite badly. Bullet Trap in Plano (an L-1 facility) made 3 attempts to get her prints before having her soak her hands in water for 5 minutes. Once they were hydrated enough, they got 'em on the first try. 29 days later she had her plastic!

The weird part was she demonstrated the difference for me on the spot between her prints and mine. She goes, "Look, see the difference between yours and mine?" I'm thinking to myself well isn't this just dandy... :banghead:

Corn Huskers Lotion is fabulous for plumping up your fingerprints - feels and smells good too. I think it is the glycerin, but it works well. JMPHO

I can't agree with the "smells good" part, but it does work!

Update,
They are still waiting on the results of my fingerprints. I don't even know if they were readable or not.
