Must the the Best BBQ in Texas if it's worth drawing blood, but I didn't see any mention of it in the Barbeque threadseamusTX wrote:According to prosecutors at the trial, the shooter's motive was to "to get back at his estranged wife." One of the victims was the shooter's father-in-law.

At the trial of Mr. Ramos on Thursday, prosecutors played video of an interview with Ramos after the shooting. In the video Ramos reportedly said the he shot his father-in-law because he believed relatives of his estranged wife had burglarized his house.

The report does not say if the burglary was ever solved.

...nor was it mentioned in the police report...though the ABC video showed several detectives surreptitiously licking their fingers...

The Jury found Mr. Ramos guilty of capital murder Friday after two hours of deliberation. He will be sentenced automatically to life in prison without parole.
Although he pleaded guilty to aggravated assault in the shooting of a third victim, whatever sentence he might get on that charge is irrelevant.
Sentencing is scheduled for Monday.

The defense had a weak case no matter what. Apparently investigators jumped through all the correct hoops so that the videotaped confession was admissible.
