I wonder if we'll ever hear anything about how Starbucks was affected on Valentine's day? It would be interesting to find out whether their revenues went up or down but I suspect that they will not publish anything about it.

I sent an email to Starbucks regarding 2nd Amendment issues.

Here's their reply: (emphasis mine)
"Dear Doc,

Thank you for your feedback regarding Starbucks' policy on open carry laws.

At Starbucks, we deeply respect the views of our customers and recognize that there is significant and genuine passion surrounding the issue of open carry weapons laws. We comply with local laws and statutes in the communities we serve. Our long-standing approach to this issue remains unchanged and we abide by the laws that permit open carry in 43 U.S. states. Where these laws don't exist, openly carrying weapons in our stores is prohibited.

As the public debate around this issue continues, we encourage customers and advocacy groups from both sides to share their input with their public officials. We are extremely sensitive to the issue of gun violence in our society and believe that supporting local laws is the right way for us to ensure a safe environment for both partners and customers.

Sincerely,

Matthew

customer service"

That's what I call a hit and a miss.

Looks like they confused "concealed carry" with "open carry", but I give'em an "A" for effort.

Probably not officially. The managers of the individual stores probably know about daily sailes difference but it's possible corporate doesn't. A lot of retail businesses track sales by month.

It's probably pretty clear that at a minimum the planned boycott was ineffective

Awesome... I've been on a passive boycott of starbucks because I like to support local coffee shops but this makes me change my mind.

I gave my daughter a Starbucks gift card today. We need to do
everything we can to make the Boycott into a total failure
If the anti crowd wins they will try to force their way on other
companies and the number of gun free places will increase drastically
The boycott is more serious than most realize :smash:

I dont think so.

They went full court press on Feb 14 to "boycott", and it flopped MISERABLY.

Starbucks has been shown gun owners support financially those that are willing to let us be.

We should all be grateful the majority of our opponents are poor, dirty hippies.

Much like Rush's advertisers who pulled out of his show, then wanted back....I think we showed decisively that starbucks current policy is spot on.

They're not going to cave to a vocal minority who has had zero effect on their sales.

StarBuck is a public trade company all we have to do is to watch
the stock prices for StarBuck. If the stock price is going up we are winning
going down the anti crowd is winning. Stay the same no affect

Sorry, but a lot of factors contribute to stock prices. Not really a valid argument.
