I use freeware called PointBlank. I think you might like it. After you work up your load and take your Chrony readings input your data. It will calculate your trajectory, muzzle energy, recoil and Taylor Knockout Factor. You can save to the database and pull it up any time you need the data.

I use Excel. It works. It's widely available. Does everything I need. I can sort on a particular powder, primer, bullet weight, etc. to see what I've tried and what worked. I have one workbook for rifle and a second for pistol. Since I load some cartridges for several different guns I have one worksheet for each gun.
I save mine on a thumb drive so it is portable but make sure you keep it backed up somewhere.
