Concealed Carry in Europe???
Not quite sure where this belongs, but here goes.....
I will be going to Europe this summer for a business trip. I will be in several countries meeting with different pharmaceutical companies. My longest stay will be in London.....about 2 weeks.
Just wondering how I can go about and see what their laws are about carrying a pistol. Anyone know any links or already have the knowledge about this?
Thanks!!

Hemi,
Handguns were banned a while back in not so Great Britain, so it is not likely that you can carry there. I am not sure if there is some special provision for the traveling business person, but I highly doubt it.

You have to first be a diplomat to get diplomatic immunity...Be on a sanctioned mission from your country of origin, and be officially recieved by the diplomatic mission in the country you are visiting...HankB wrote:Get you get "Diplomatic Immunity" status for the duration of your visit?
You know, the whole secret handshake society thing...

Just recently back from the UK. 10 year imprisonment if caught with a handgun and they are tyring to up that. They frown upon long guns too and regulate how many you may have in your possesion. My advice is don't even think about it!
Kimber Eclipse Custom II .45, Berretta 9000s .40, Glock 27, and a Glock 22 and counting!
From what I've read, you can only possess a handgun if you are officially a criminal, or an LEO. In some locales those qualifications may overlap.
Heck, in the UK you can't even have an air rifle over a certain power, and they are trying to outlaw those too.
So Western Europe is a non-starter (on many levels). Belgium *might* be gun-friendly.
Might be some possibles in Eastern Europe, Italy etc.

Yup,
The way things are going over there...a soda straw and a "spit wad" will soon be illegal.
