What a wonderful thing. I was not aware of The Patriot Guard until they escorted my Dad's service last month. They are truly a great bunch of men and women. I could hardly believe the number of riders that came to honor him, a member of the Greatest Generation. One fellow came all the way from Willis to Pasadena to join in. Their presence added a special honor and dignity to the service and I can't think of a better way to honor fallen service men and women and all our veterans. I know you must have had a great sense of pride in participating. I found out from a member that my brother is a member and takes part in their escorts when he can. I knew that he rode escort with the MS150 and a couple of other charity rides because I always sponser a couple of riders, but was unaware of his particiipation in the PG. After seeing and meeting them I say God Bless! :patriot:
My dad was also of the Greatest Generation. I wish I had been able to start w/ his. Sometimes I am ashamed of how we have lost what they secured for us.

I had my first encounter with the PG at the rededication of the Vietnam Memorial here in Waco, Texas. They are truly a bunch of dedicated bikers and love our country and our troops that have fallen. May God Bless Them. A Korean vet. :txflag: :patriot:

As a veteran of OIF and OEF, and friend of a couple of our brothers who lost their lives there.. Thank you so much for helping in this special way. It means a lot to the military, and to the families of those who have fallen. I also would highly recommend that anyone who has never been to the service of a soldier who has lost their lives in OIF/OEF.. try to make one. It is an emotional train wreck, but seeing the the outpouring of support from these cities does something magical--or it did for me. It gave me the faith I lost in Americans back.. twofold. For a long time I was convinced that America was lost.. I was wrong. America is still the Land of the Free & Home of the Brave.

I too am a veteran of OIf / OEF and a Patriot Guard Rider. I have rode in a few missions too honor my fallen brothers. It really is a powerful experience for anyone to witness. The whole town seems to shut down and pay their respects as the procession passes. Every person with a flag in hand....
"A train wreck of emotions" is the perfect description. I'm very proud to be a part of this group and this nation when I see the honor it shows our Fallen Warriors and their families. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE..
