Just starting - update: Plastic in Hand!

My girlfriend and I started the process today, let the clock start! :txflag:

1/11/12 Online Application
1/13/12 Fingerprinting
1/15/12 CHL Class
1/18/12 Mailed Packet
1/24/12 Signed for in Austin
1/31/12 Under Review
2/13/12 Manufacturing Pending
2/14/12 Manufacturing
2/23/12 DPS Mailed
2/27/12 Plastic In Hand

35 Days once received in Austin, ill take it!

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on making the decision to get your CHL.
I believe that any person who is legally able to arm them self should exercise that right.

Good luck in the process and I hope your wait is short. In the meantime there
is a treasure trove of information here to soak up.

My wait is almost over. It's been "mailed" so I'll probably have it in a week. I also agree with others that there is a lot of good information and interesting conversation.

Soooo...the fingerprint lady today said she had heard they are at least 6 weeks behind on processing...god i hope not!

Finished up the class yesterday at Texas EZ CHL and we both really enjoyed it. The instructor Curtis was very sincere and used a nice multimedia mix to present the information so the class did not seem as long. I will be going back for his advanced course sometime in April.

One more step down, hoping to get it mailed off tomorrow! Woot! Let's hope the wait isn't long, Curtis mentioned a student in his last class had plastic in 21 days, hope I'm that lucky!
