Thanks, anygun. Similar situation at Casa Arock except in trade I get to clean all the guns too. Looking forward to the day The Three Mutant Offspring take over that chore.

Being a rather large guy.....6'8" x 300lbs, finding good cover garments, especially for summer wear has really been a problem for me. I was in WallyWorld about 5 months ago and ran across a new style of Dickies work shirts in small plaid patterns. They are flat around the bottom so they dont look bad when worn out and they are long enough to easily cover my OWB holster carrying my Springfield Champion without being seen. They really break up any bulge and almost make wearing a concealed weapon invisible. I bought 4 in different patterns and colors. My wife really likes them and my sons think I am finally getting with the styles. I'm just happy to find something comfortable that conceals, in my size. Most shirts like this have tails waaaay to short for OWB carry and IWB is out of the question for me.
I wear a double mag carrier on the opposite side of the gun. I usually carry at the 4 o'clock position on both. I tried several methods of carry for summer and this one works the best for me. I will try to get pictures and post them soon.

Thats interesting...

I believe it has always been ok, that regardless of your sexual orientation, that the right to self-defense that we (straight folks) enjoy, is no different, nor should we be surprised, that certain elements within the homosexual community believe as we do...

If I had a choice, my interaction with people of that orientation (regardless that I believe it is an immoral activity), I would rather hangout and shoot the breeze, with gay men and women who believe as I do about personal freedom and self-defense???...Than the alternative who do not (regardless of their sexual orientation)...Which would not happen anyway...

Sexual orientation, to me, is not an issue when it comes to valuing, promoting and defending those rights as a citizen of this country...

Still...It is amazing there are small "organized" and promoted pockets of folks like this...

I have a gay acquaintence who is an avid shooter, and I would much rather sit with that person and shoot the breeze about almost anything than someone who is rabidly anti-gun. I found out long ago that it doesn't rub off.

I'd rather hang out with a complete freak who supports my rights, than with the most straightlaced pillar of the community who thinks my rights --and the freak's-- shouldn't count because of who we are, what we think, what shade our skin is, or to whom we're sexually attracted.

If rights aren't universal, they aren't rights.

I must say, at my age, and my apperance, wearing a hawian shirt or fishing shirt would scream that I am up to something.

I go with oversized t-shirts. They work just fine, comfortable, and anyone can get away with it.

For a while now, I have worn 2 shirts as concealment. A T-shirt or polo over another shirt. Both long and untucked. The inner shirt helps keep the gun from printing on the outer shirt. Solid bright colors will show a bulge, but the sheeple don't seem to notice.

I don't know your age or appearance, but I'll testify that you can modify your "style" without so much as a ripple.

I'm 42, short brown (2/3 gray) hair that's thinning in back, and a goatee. I'm 5'10", trying to stay on the downside of 230 pounds, but with broad shoulders (I don't look that heavy). I've always stuck with the style of my age, meaning early-mid '80s, jeans or dockers and polos or button-down oxfords (tucked, of course). It's a mild style that wears well in any era, and I hate spending money on new clothes.

When I started carrying full time, I realized that my wardrobe was unrealistic, especially since I carry a full-size pistol (Ruger P97). The first thing I had to get realistic about was my pants size. I started out carrying IWB, so I actually went up two waist sizes, and switched to a looser cut.

Next, I looked around and saw that lots of people wear shirts that make perfect cover garments. After spending less than $60, I had several sets of club-style shirts with matching Ts.

Now instead of a middle-age, balding, graying, overweight father of five, I look like a middle-age, balding, graying, overweight father of five with cool clothes.

This is all casual wear, mind you. I can't carry at (or even to) work. For nicer occasions, I wear a suit or slacks and blazer, and the same carry rigs work just fine.

I read where someone mentioned a photographer's vest. Well I found out they make those at the tent factory and I bought one. I am extremly happy with it. I do not know if it will work when the Texas summer arrives, but right now I like it. It is long enough to even cover an OWB.
