I just reorganized my Instant Queue last night and was amazed a how many documentaries I have waiting. Almost as many as TV shows and movies combined!

I've also signed up for Hulu+ and am contemplating Amazon Prime to add Amazon Instant to the available offerings. That would add up to about $23/month with no commercials or annoying talking heads! I think I like it!

I have streaming only with Netflix. Covers my not so recent movie viewing. I use Vudu for new releases, no monthly charge, pay as you watch and the app comes preloaded on most new BluRay players and WiFi enabled televisions.

I did the Amazon Prime free trial and didn't see many streaming videos I wanted to watch but maybe we have different taste.

California has a new Internet Sales Tax policy, if I'm not mistaken.

Well, this is my 3rd billing, and the first that was more than the $7.99 base price. Strange...

So I'm paying tax to California? That's why I moved out of there -- well, one of the reasons, anyway.

Anyone else received an email about a class action suit against NetFlix? Regarding a price fixing agreement with Walmart?

Not as of just now. Does this apply to DVD subscribers only? I've got the streaming-only version.

Information about the Class Action Suit against Netflix/Walmart.

Like most class actions suits, the only entity to receive any real compensation is the legal team.............

If the State converts a right into a privilege, the citizen can ignore the license and fee and engage in the right with impunity. -- Shuttleworth v. City of Birmingham

I was paying sales tax on Netflix a year ago. Maybe you slipped through the cracks.

Same with iTunes. I pay sales tax but a friend in an East Coast state doesn't. Many times I was tempted to change my iTunes address to my friend's house.
This will only hurt a little. What comes next, more so.
