In Texas for 10 years, just got CHL. Don't know why I waited for so long.

For now I don't have a good carry, just a full sized Beretta 92FS.

Welcome Scrub! I am new here myself but have found this forum informative and very addicting. Got my plastic 16 days from the day the package was mailed but I had taken the class a few days before that so you could be quicker.

Hello Everyone,
Been lurking on the board and reading all the posts on the site for several months. I certainly appreciate all the great recommendations and advice. :tiphat:

Finally decided to sign up and make my first introductory post! Been in Texas for about 15 years, but just got my CHL last month. Total time from submission to plastic was approximately three weeks.

Hi y'all....

Just joined a few weeks ago, and have a few posts already.

Originally from Canada by way of the UK (hence the name), been living in the Dallas area for 16 years now. 46 years old married with no kids, USAF veteran. I currently work for a global Tax, Assurance and Accounting firm (one of the Big 4) in the health care field.

In the process of getting my CHL, it should be here in a couple weeks according to the site. Looks like the wife is getting hers first. She'll be carrying a Taurus PT709 Slim in her purse (though I got her a High Noon holster for it). I'll be carrying an XD 45 bi-tone compact in a Crossbreed Supertuck. We pretty much use Remington Golden Saber for SD ammo. I also have a customized Saiga 12 shotgun for HD, she's a beaut.

Your wife or the shotgun?

Answer carefully, because you don't get a second chance.

Hi, I'm AJ and I"m an addict... or at least addicted to life and the survival thereof.
Way late 30's, finally going to college after being a long time grease monkey, gearing for a degree in wildlife management and aiming for a job as a game warden.
Been lurking here for a while. Shoot and carry an M&P9c, also wishing for another Glock.
Can be found weekly (usually with my father) at Spring Guns & Ammo with the 9's and a couple .22's.
Hope to see some of you guys and gals around the range. :cheers2:
