Just got my first update!!!!

Well, I checked last night at about 12:20am and still nothing. This morning when I woke up I expected the same but was glad to see this:
Application : Received
Fingerprints : Complete
Affidavits : Received
DL or ID : Valid
Citizenship : No documentation required
Passport photo holder : Received
Photo : Received
Proof of Classroom training : Received
Proof of Proficiency training : Received
Fee : Received
Background Check : Under review
Concealed Handgun License : Print pending completion of application review

Now I hope this keeps going as fast so I can have my plastic and do a Wallywalk with my LC9

Soo just great.I mailed mine in 7/13 and its been 3 weeks and no status change. That probably means when I do get the status change ill have to wait another 3 weeks for them to print the ID.

Holy cow. I think the DPS got tired of getting all of the calls from the state reps and decided to just go straight to mail pending as soon as they get your stuff in the mail...that is all I can think of. How can it go from 60 days five months ago to 14 now? Just bizarre. Glad to see they seem to be doing so much better with this.

Got it!!!!!! Just in time, work starts tomorrow and can't carry there, my Bday is on Friday and I'm about to go to the range. The system said mailed on Friday 08/05/11 but was postmarked on 08/09/11. One day from Austin to Laredo. Wally walk later this weekend.

Ahhhh i'm so annoyed.. I feel like that I will be able to get a job at DPS and do my own paperwork on my checklist.
