It also helps if you fit into what you are trying to sit in.

Absoutely correct! I have learned to ease back into any chair I am sitting down in.

I carry just in front of my right hip in what I would call the 245 position. I dont know why it is so comfy there for me. I carry a full size Glock 22 and it hides there and sits there very well. I think it was because of being paranoid of the seats at church that I started carrying it there in my Crossbreed. SO now I carry it there all the time. :tiphat:

Ahh, I see. So they must have the proper 30.06 posted.
Thanks for the help. I believe I'll be carrying to church now haha. They've never had the sign posted.

yeah i'm not really too big for the chair. I'm not too big at all. 5' 10, 195lb. Mostly was due to having someone on my left side and no one on my right, so i was kind of being "pushed" to the right. the seats are kind of small too. i'm pretty sure movie theatres have more spacious seating.

Never been hurt but have banged chair arms a few times. When I pocket carry, which is pretty often in this heat, my biggest issue comes from my wife. She has a bad habit of just reaching into my pocket for my keys. (Easier for her than hunting in that large black hole she calls a purse  )

When not pocket carrying I keep them my right front pocket and switch sides when I have my gun there. The expression on her face first time she reached in and grabbed than gun's grip instead of keys was priceless. Thankfully she had the presence of mind not to pull it out.

That's not entirely correct. Section i states:

(i) Subsections (b)(4), (b)(5), (b)(6), and (c) do not apply if the actor was not given effective notice under Section 30.06.

So if it's not posted 30.06, and the CHL holder wasn't notified in another fashion that is stated in Section 30.06, then it's perfectly legal.

That's kind of scary. Hopefully you had it in a holster. I could just see that happening and have a freak out situation with her jump or something and a slight pull of the trigger.

I just started carrying as a civilian last week and opted to carry appendix (11:30 position/lefty). I was concerned about the possibility of several of these issues. I was at my 20 year reunion last weekend and there was a lot of hugging going on. No one was ever anywhere close to "hands on" in this position although hips may have touched it. I've found the "ass out" hug eliminates that pretty easy though. lol
